I was given some Clearly Fresh Bags to use recently and see how I liked them.
I have seen these around for awhile but never tried them, until now.
I’m glad I did!
I was pleasantly surprised how well they work!
Depending on my daughters mood, we can either eat A LOT of produce or not so much (I mean there’s only so much I can eat myself).
There are times where I don’t keep broccoli on hand because she may or may not want it.
Now, I can actually buy it and have here just in case and not have to worry about it getting funky, stinky and old.
I put some broccoli in a bag and it stayed fresh for a loooong time.
The bags are big (12″ x 14″) so they can hold A LOT.
They come with an easy to write on area so you can put the date and contents there so you can see just how long they stay fresh.
The company boasts that fresh fruit and veggies can last up to 50% longer than without the use of the Clearly Fresh Bags.
I also put cherries in a Clearly Fresh bag and they’ve stayed good for weeks (what’s left of them that I haven’t devoured eaten).
I actually forgot I even had radishes in the frig!
Normally, if I did that they’d be nasty and gross these are still good 4 weeks later!
How Do Clearly Fresh® Bags Work?
The technology behind Clearly Fresh® bags is our BreatheWay membrane. You’ll note that there is a hole in the film behind the BreatheWay logo on each zip bag. This is because BreatheWay acts as an Oxygen/Carbon Dioxide passageway – allowing just the right amount of oxygen in and much more carbon dioxide out. For more information on how and why BreatheWay is so effective visit www.breatheway.com
How to use Clearly Fresh Bags
-Put fresh dry uncooked fruit or veggies in the bag. It’s best to use a separate bag for each type of thing.
-Gently push out some of the air out of the bag.
-Zip close the top of the bag.
-Store your produce like you normally would (counter or frig)
You can order yours online here and I will say that the money you save by not throwing away rotten veggies or fruit is well worth it by buying these bags.
